Generation of Computer
Computer के Parts मे Transformation के आधार पर Computer को 5 Generation मे Divide किया गया है |
1). 1st Generation ( 1940-1956)
2). 2nd Generation (1957-1963)
3). 3rd Generation (1964-1971)
4). 4th Generation ( 1972-1980)
5). 5th Generation (1981- Present Time)
1). 1st Generation = इस Generation मे Switching Device के रूप मे Vacuum Tube का Use किया जाता था | इस Generation के Computer का Size लगभग 1 Room के बराबर होता है | यह बहुत Heat Generate करते है | इसमे Batch Operating System का Use किया जाता था, और Binary Language Use की जाती थी | इस Generation के Computer है- 1. UNIVAC , 2. ENIAC 3. MARK-1.
2). 2nd Generation = इस Generation मे Vacuum Tube के स्थान पर Transistor का Use किया गया, और Storage Device के रूप मे Magnetic Core Technology का Use किया गया , अर्थात् Magnetic Drum तथा Operating system के रूप मे Multitasking & Time Sharing Operation System Use किये गये, Transistor के Use के कारण इनके Size मे कमी आई | इस Generation मे Assembly Language और High Level Language का Use किया गया | इस Computer का Use Business Use, Engineer Design मे किया गया |
3). 3rd Generation = इस Generation के Computer मे Switching Device के रूप मे Integrated Circuit( IC) का Use किया गया, जो Silicon से बनी होती है | इसमे Magnetic Core का Use Storage Device के रूप मे किया गया, और Operating System के रूप मे Real Time, Time Sharing का Use किया गया | इन Computers का Use DBMS ( Data Base Management System ) मे Online Reservation मे किया जाने लगा |
4). 4th Generation = इस Generation मे Switching Device के रूप मे Very Large Integrated Circuit (VLIC) का Use किया गया, और Storage के Semi-Conductor Memory और Winchester Disk का Use किया गया | इस Generation मे Mine-Computer के Use मे अधिक वृध्दि हुई | इसमे FORTRAN, COBOL, PASCAL का Use किया गया है | इस Generation मे PC ( Personal Computer) अधिक Use किये जाने लगे |
5). 5th Generation = इसमे Switching Device के रूप मे Ultra Large Scale Integrated Circuit (ULSIC) का Use किया गया, और Storage के लिए Optical Disk को Develop किया गया | इस Generation मे Knowledge Processing System Use किये जाने लगे | इस Generation के Computer मेे Artificial Intelligence (AI) को आसानी से Use किया जा सकता है | इस Generation मे Image Recognition, Processing Speech Character, Information Management etc.
